Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find, fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by IT Ops/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.
We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers & operators, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools and false positives, resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.
What You’ll Do
The Senior Social Media Manager will own the day-to-day execution and continued strategic development of Horizon3’s social media program. This role combines strong editorial judgment, hands-on content creation, campaign and event execution, employee advocacy, community engagement, and performance-driven optimization. You will translate complex cybersecurity, product, research, and market topics into clear, credible stories while building repeatable programs that scale social across Marketing and the broader company.
This role will be responsible for…..
Social Strategy and Channel Ownership
Serve as the company’s subject-matter owner for organic social strategy, advising Marketing and executive leadership on audience development, channel investment, content priorities, and social risk.
Own and evolve the social media strategy across priority channels, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and X, while evaluating other channels and communities such as Reddit and Bluesky.
Maintain a clear point of view on audience, channel fit, content formats, cadence, and brand voice.
Build and manage an always-on editorial calendar that balances thought leadership, customer proof, research, product storytelling, company news, culture, hiring, and timely industry moments.
Establish repeatable planning, intake, approval, publishing, and reporting processes that make social easier to scale across Marketing and the broader company.
Content Creation and Storytelling
Own the development, creation, and publication of high-quality social content that translates complex cybersecurity, product, research, and market topics into clear, engaging stories.
Develop campaign concepts and content packages across formats such as posts, threads, carousels, short-form video, event coverage, employee spotlights, and executive amplification.
Partner with subject-matter experts to identify strong stories, ghostwrite or refine content when needed, and manage review through publication.
Maintain a distinctive, authentic, confident, and technically credible brand voice across channels.
Campaigns, Launches, and Events
Develop and execute social plans for product launches, press announcements, webinars, campaigns, customer stories, industry news, and rapid-response opportunities.
Support event promotion and live coverage, including speaking sessions, booth activity, networking moments, videos, and post-event follow-up.
Coordinate social amplification with Product Marketing, PR/Communications, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, executives, and technical experts.
Join initiatives early enough to shape the amplification strategy, not simply publish finished assets at the end of a campaign.
Employee Advocacy and Executive Amplification
Own and grow the employee advocacy program in Sprout Social Advocacy, including onboarding, enablement, content distribution, recurring communications, and program administration.
Create practical, easy-to-share content that helps employees and executives participate authentically in company, product, hiring, thought-leadership, and event moments.
Partner with People, Recruiting, Communications, and leadership teams to support employer brand, executive visibility, and coordinated announcements.
Community Engagement and Brand Stewardship
Monitor brand and industry conversations through social publishing and listening tools, including the Sprout inbox and relevant online communities.
Respond to routine engagement and route sensitive, reputational, or crisis-related issues through the appropriate escalation process.
Apply sound judgment about what should be amplified publicly, what requires additional review, and what should not be socialized.
Help protect brand consistency across social channels and ensure public-facing content follows current naming, messaging, and visual standards.
Measurement and Optimization
Define and maintain a practical social measurement framework covering reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, advocacy participation, and campaign impact.
Produce regular reporting that turns performance data into clear insights, recommendations, and next actions.
Test content formats, creative approaches, publishing patterns, and channel strategies to improve relevance and engagement efficiency.
Conduct periodic competitive and market reviews to identify opportunities, gaps, and emerging conversations that should influence the content plan.
