Your responsibilities
Develop and execute global communications strategy: Lead the planning and implementation of comprehensive communications strategies that align with DeepL's business objectives and brand positioning
Drive media relations excellence: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, manage press outreach, respond to media inquiries, and coordinate interviews and press opportunities across global markets
Lead executive communications: Partner with senior leadership to develop thought leadership content, executive messaging, and speaking opportunities that reinforce DeepL's position as an industry leader
Own crisis and issues management: Develop and maintain crisis communication protocols, serve as a key point of contact during sensitive situations, and guide the organization's response with clarity and confidence
Manage agency relationships: Oversee external PR and communications agencies across multiple markets, ensuring alignment with global strategy while supporting regional nuance
Create compelling content: Write and edit high-quality communications materials including press releases, media briefs, speeches, bylines, and other external-facing content
Measure and report impact: Define KPIs for communications activities, track performance, and provide regular reporting and insights to stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Marketing, Product, People, Legal, and other teams to ensure communications are integrated, timely, and effective

Proven media relations skills: A strong track record of securing and managing media coverage in top-tier business and technology publications
Strategic thinking: Ability to develop long-term communications strategies while managing day-to-day execution with precision
Exceptional writing skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences

Collaborative approach: A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and builds strong relationships at all levels
