Company:
David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

Role:

This role formally sits within growth, but serves as connective tissue between growth, finance, and data, building the forecasting, marketing economics, and measurement infrastructure that lets the team invest with confidence across different marketing channels. You'll bring structure, rigor, and clarity to how we plan, measure, and understand what's actually driving the business.

This is a role for someone who can work in ambiguity, move quickly, and turn data into insight that shapes real decisions. It's best suited for someone with competency in both strategic finance and data analytics, able to take a problem end-to-end, from framing the question to building the model to delivering the answer.

Responsibilities:

Growth & E-commerce Forecasting

  • Forecast sales, orders, and unit volume by channel, product line, and SKU mix, including unlaunched products, accounting for seasonality, inventory, retail dynamics, and changes in performance
  • Drive a recurring forecast alignment process across Growth, Finance, and Data, consolidating inputs into a single forecast, actualizing results, and maintaining clean assumptions and modeling
  • Maintain and improve marketing investment and economics models, including CAC, LTV, MER/aMER, contribution margin, and payback
  • Translate growth strategy and changes in marketing investment into expected revenue, margin, and financial impact
  • Ensure marketing investment and pacing remain aligned with company growth targets, inventory constraints, and broader financial objectives

Analytics Systems & Insights

  • Design and build scalable systems and processes that improve visibility into marketing performance, customer behavior, and the drivers of growth
  • Develop repeatable frameworks for turning platform, ecommerce, retail, survey, and panel data into actionable insights
  • Automate recurring reporting and analytical workflows to reduce manual work and free up the team for higher-value analysis
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities across channels, audiences, products, and customer cohorts
  • Partner with Data and Finance to ensure marketing analytics infrastructure scales as the business grows across retail and ecommerce

Growth Measurement, Science, and Incrementality

  • Partner with internal teams and external measurement providers on attribution, incrementality testing, and MMM
  • Incorporate measurement outputs into forecasts, marketing economics, and budget recommendations
  • Translate testing results and performance data into clear recommendations for the marketing team and determine implications for channel strategy and investment
  • Help develop a disciplined framework for evaluating marketing performance beyond platform-reported ROAS

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, FP&A, or finance at a fast-paced startup
  • Strong competency in Excel and financial modeling, with hands-on experience building forecasts, unit economics models, and ROI analyses
  • Comfortable working across finance and data — able to take a problem end-to-end, from framing the question to building the model to deriving the insight
  • Strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail, especially when working with ambiguous or messy data
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and analytical work clearly for non-finance stakeholders
  • High intellectual horsepower, with a self-starting attitude and a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly
  • Humility, curiosity, and a desire to build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat

Benefits

  • This is a full-time role.
    • Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 per year DOE, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets
    • Company equity opportunity
    • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance
    • 401(k) with 4% match
    • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses
