The ’80s are calling and its not to Gen X.

Shopping malls – once the mainstay of teens during the 1980s and 1990s – are enjoying a resurgence. And it's thanks to Gen Z shoppers who are craving in-person and social outlets over online shopping conveniences.

People are getting fed up with online interactions and want to go back to cool, interesting interactions with real humans in real-life!

Arca is looking for an exceptional events marketing manager who can help us bring those events to life across design, implementation, and scale.

The role

You’ll build and own Arca’s event marketing program. This is a senior individual contributor role on our Growth Marketing team for someone who builds events as a system: one that fills the right rooms, gives attendees an experience they can’t get anywhere else, and turns attendance into meetings with our advisors and a sustainable pipeline.

Seminars are our first proof point. Our advisors began hosting educational seminars this fall, and early results are strong. We want to reach a pace of 100 seminars per year by the end of 2027, while growing into webinars, new prospect event formats, and client appreciation experiences. You’ll turn an early, advisor-led effort into a repeatable program that scales across offices without losing what makes it work.

You’ll report to our Head of Growth and work closely with advisors, operations, compliance, growth engineering, and our seminar marketing partner. You’ll have real ownership, budget responsibility, pipeline targets, and the autonomy to decide what we run, where, and why. Expect about 25–50% travel to events, venues, and offices.

What you’ll do

Scale the seminar program

  • Own the seminar calendar across offices and advisors: geography, ZIP-code targeting, topics, venues, timing, and spacing between events.

  • Manage our seminar marketing partner end-to-end, and hold them accountable for audience quality, invitation accuracy, registration, and confirmations. Evaluate alternatives, and decide what functions we should eventually bring in-house.

  • Work with our advisors to build and improve the playbook: materials, room setup, presenter prep, booking meetings in the room, and attendee follow-up.

  • Coach advisors as presenters, and make every event better than the last.

Expand beyond seminars

  • Test and expand webinars for audiences outside our office footprints.

  • Lead reinvestment in a client appreciation program with small, selective experiences that make clients feel cherished, and give them a natural way to bring a friend.

  • Pilot new prospecting concepts with advisors and offices, such as hosted dinners, community events, and events with referring partners and centers of influence like estate attorneys and CPAs.

Own the numbers

  • Define and own the event funnel: registrations, attendance, meetings booked, prospects qualified, and new client business.

  • Partner with growth engineering on attendance tracking, attendee imports, and lead-source accuracy, and influence how our platform handles event follow-up.

  • Track cost, payback, and ROI by event, location, presenter, format, and topic. Use them to decide what to scale, what to change, and what to stop.

  • Build business cases for new formats, secure budgets for what works, and drive continuous experimentation.

Make every event feel like Arca

  • Own the in-room experience. From the venue to the welcome sign to the card attendees take home, Arca events should feel distinct, valuable, and special, and nothing like the free-dinner annuities pitch attendees sat through last month.

  • Partner with design to keep materials consistent across every office and format.

  • Bring compliance in at the brief stage, so every invitation, deck, and handout is reviewed before it reaches anyone.

About Arca

Arca is a wealth management firm built from the ground up with AI. Most people get financial advice that's reactive: an annual check-in, a plan that's a document instead of a living thing, a relationship where you're one of three hundred clients your advisor is trying to remember. We think that's backwards. The kind of service that used to require a team of specialists behind you, the kind that makes you feel like the only person in the room, should be available to far more than the ultra-wealthy.

So we're building it. We're not SaaS — we are the wealth management business, rebuilding it from the inside with AI. Our platform is an Iron Man suit for advisors: it takes over the low-leverage work so they can focus on what actually requires a human, showing up with empathy, context, and judgment. Underneath, it keeps a living understanding of each client. It remembers the thing you mentioned once, six months ago. It notices when your life changes — a new job, a new kid, a market shift — and adjusts before you think to ask. You won't see the technology. You'll just notice your advisor seems to know you better than any financial professional ever has.

That's the product we're growing: client by client, on the strength of the experience itself. We started by acquiring firms managing over $1B in client assets, which gave us real advisors, real clients, and real financial outcomes to build against from day one. But acquisition was the starting line. The bet is that an advisor backed by this platform delivers something good enough that clients come to us on their own.

It's a $20T market, and we think it's ready to be rebuilt.

The receipts

  • Stage: Series A, $64M raised

  • Backed by: General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Venrock

  • Board & Advisors: Former CEO of Vanguard, Former CFO of Schwab, Founder of Altruist, Morgan Housel (author of The Psychology of Money)

The team

We're small on purpose and engineering heavy: about 80% of the team is technical. We're based in NYC and hail from high growth startups like Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Plaid, DoorDash, Glean, and Mercury.

Most of the team is fully in-office. We prefer candidates based in New York City, but we’ll consider remote candidates in the US if the fit is right. Remote team members, including this role’s direct manager, spend about one week per month on-site.

Example problems you’d work on

These aren’t hypothetical. We’re working on versions of all of them now.

  • From a dozen seminars to 100+ without losing what works. Early seminars worked because advisors ran them intentfully. Scaling them across offices, advisors, topics, and states means deciding what becomes the standard playbook, what stays local, and experimenting constantly so things don’t get stale!

  • Follow-up designed before the invitation goes out. An event isn’t over when the room empties. At Arca, follow-up is planned up front: booking meetings in the room, getting attendees into our platform cleanly, and making sure the advisor know
